Youth for Change Network (YCN) is honoured to be part of the AU-EU Youth Action Lab Annual Link & Learn 2026, bringing together youth-led initiatives from across Africa and Europe to exchange experiences, showcase innovations, build partnerships and shape conversations on youth participation and development.
Day 2: Lessons, Reflections and Cross-Border Learning.
For YCN, this space is an opportunity to reflect on what meaningful youth participation looks like for LBQITGNC communities, particularly those whose voices and lived experiences are often excluded from mainstream development and policy conversations.
Our key lesson is that inclusion must move beyond representation to meaningful participation, leadership and decision-making. Youth-led solutions rooted in lived experiences are essential in shaping responsive policies, safer communities and equitable opportunities.
As YCN, we continue to champion a future where LBQITGNC young people are not merely beneficiaries of development but active contributors, innovators and decision-makers shaping the policies and systems that affect their lives.
We are learning, connecting and building collective power across borders because our experiences matter, our solutions matter, and our voices belong at every decision-making table.
