Building a Safer Way to Call for Help — Seeking Strategic Partners
In Nigeria and many other parts of Africa, personal safety can become a matter of seconds.
One challenge we are exploring is simple but serious: what happens when someone in danger cannot safely reach or use their phone?
At Oyinova Technologies Limited, we are developing Project Silent Guardian a discreet, wearable personal-safety device designed to allow a person to trigger an emergency response without having to visibly reach for their phone.
The concept combines a discreet fashion accessory with a one-touch emergency alert, real-time location sharing, background audio capture, and other safety-focused features designed to help trusted contacts respond when it matters most.
But we don’t want to build this in isolation.
We are looking to connect with organisations, innovators, researchers, engineers, women’s safety advocates, human-rights organisations, emergency-response professionals, technology partners, and social-impact leaders who can help us challenge our assumptions, strengthen the concept, test it responsibly, and ultimately bring it to the people who need it.
