Today, 9 October 2026, Nature First Mozambique held an online technical meeting with the Association for the Socioeconomic Development of Mining Communities (ADESECOM) to introduce our organisations and explore opportunities for collaboration.
We shared our mission, areas of work and priorities under our Strategic Plan 2026–2030, highlighting biodiversity conservation, climate resilience and community development.
Potential areas of collaboration included strengthening community organisations, sustainable agriculture and livelihoods, restoring natural resources, and educational activities on water, hygiene and resilience.
We believe that developing joint initiatives begins with listening to communities, understanding their priorities and sharing knowledge between organisations.
We thank the ADESECOM team and all participants for their time and contributions to this dialogue. We remain open to partnerships that help improve community living conditions and conserve nature in Mozambique.
